Fresh Beginnings with Courtney Yezzi

Bring a fresh freedom to your body and lightness to your mind in 2020 through the practice of standing poses, inversions and pranayama.

Standing poses help us to understand our body and cultivate inner courage and a positive mind. When we practice standing poses we are connected to the body through the freedom of the arms and legs creating a lightness of the body and mind that might otherwise be heavy.

The consistent practice of Sirsasana (headstand), gives us balance and poise both mentally and physically. The practice of Salamba Sarvangasana (shoulderstand) cultivates inner vigour and strength, happiness and confidence.

When we prepare our bodies and minds through asana we make it fit for the practice of pranayama.

In this workshop we will:

  • Explore firmness and freedom of standing poses
  • Practice Sirsasana and Sarvangasana moving from the preparatory phases to the full pose so you can work with confidence and ease at the correct stage for your body and yoga practice
  • Share a light Pranayama practice exploring the basic stages of Ujjayi and Viloma
