Restorative Yoga: Introduction to the Iyengar 1993 Sequence

March 28-29, 2020

BKS Iyengar invented modern restorative yoga, a profoundly restful and rejuvenating practice. At a 1993 teachers convention in the U.S., he provided a specific sequence of postures for attendees to practice during a daily rest break to help them keep up with an otherwise grueling schedule. The sequence is incredibly rich, effective, enjoyable, and adaptable. It embodies the essence of restorative yoga, and is worthy of long and deep study. This workshop will introduce the sequence through direct experience of the postures followed by explanation of theory and technique. Suitable for students and teachers of all levels.
