Ojai Accommodation

There are a range of options available for your stay in Ojai - from a bedroom in the main house, to your own private tea house, there is something for everyone!

Main House

  • Anahata Room – Master Bedroom – Sleeps 2 – Reserved

This spacious and central bedroom on the first floor, is often warmed by the golden glow of the afternoon sun. It has a queen-size bed, its own bathroom with the original claw foot tub, and also direct access to the front porch area.

The Anahata Room boasts the only stained glass window in the house and has a beautiful asymmetrical fireplace– a delightful element of the natural rhythm of the Greene and Greene architecture.

  • State Room – Sleeps 3 – Reserved

Like being in the stateroom of a luxurious yacht, this cozy bedroom at the south end of the house has the feel of being at the bow of a fine ship, with commanding views off into the distant horizon.

Next to the kitchen and originally built for an au pair, chef or live-in housekeeper, this ample room has three single beds and its own private bath with shower.

  • Chumash Room – Sleeps 3-4

The downstairs master suite, known as the Chumash Room after the Native Americans who inhabited this land, is a large bedroom with a king-size and two single beds. It has its own full private bath, with its original claw-footed bathtub/shower.

The room is a wonderful place to watch the morning sun as it rises above the Topa Topa mountains, as well as end the day sitting warmly in front of a fire in its solidly designed fireplace.

  • Chumash Porch – Sleeps 2 – Reserved

Based on the belief that it was healthy to sleep outdoors, homes built at the turn of the century were sometimes constructed with screened in sleeping porches. The Pratt House has three such porches.

The Chumash sleeping porch is winterized and has two single beds.

  • Alaya Room – Sleeps 3-4

The upstairs master bedroom is a vast space perfectly illustrating the architectural genius of Greene and Greene. In this luxurious room, with it’s cozy nooks and spacious structure, one has the sense of being aboard an ocean going yacht of the Belle Époque. A fireplace, crafted with the fine patterning the Greene’s are known for, faces the queen-sized and two single beds. Elegant decor compliments the exquisitely rugged design sensibility of the room.

  • Kinder Room – Sleeps 3

The upper floor of the Pratt House also includes a second large bedroom with its own entry from the hallway, three twin size beds, its own grand fireplace, and a screened sleeping porch leading to the upper veranda. The room is appointed in the warm and simple manner of the rest of the house, and shares a full bathroom with the adjoining Alaya Master Bedroom.

  • Artist Studio – Sleeps 2-3 – Reserved

The Artist Studio is a little house with its own bath with shower, sink, and flushing toilet.  This dwelling is ideal for a couple or very close friends as the bathroom is only semi-private.  It is furnished with one queen bed and one single bed.

  • Apiary Earth Lodge – Sleeps 3

Secluded, simple, spacious, the Earth Lodge resembles a cob structure. This dwelling has it’s own wood-burning stove and is furnished with one king bed and one single bed.  There is also a private outdoor shower and outhouse with a composting toilet.
