“Yoga continues to amaze me. We put our body into shapes, breathe deeply and we feel better. It is a magical transformation.” – Christine
Christine brings a sensitive, courageous openness to her teaching that allows her students to move into deeper realms. Her desire is to bring her students into a closer relationship between their outer and inner worlds. Through this union, we get to live healthier and more meaningful lives. Yoga offers us a pathway. It uplifts and reduces stress. It connects us. Since 2003, she has taught it to adults, teens and kids with equal measures of contemplation and light-hearted authenticity.
Chris holds an E-RYT in yoga plus over 1500 hours of education in anatomically based bodywork, specializing in soft tissue (fascia). For over 16 years she has practiced the art and science of yoga, personally living yoga’s transformational experience. Her advanced anatomy and movement training brings a safe practicality to her teaching. She loves teaching many levels within a pose—offering options to honor each student’s ability and experience.
Chris’ vocation combines teaching yoga, bodywork therapy and writing. Her private practice, Opening Spaces (openingspaces.com) specializes in private yoga instruction, Rolf Structural Integration, CranioSacral Therapy and Advanced Deep Tissue Therapy. She received her HHP from IPSB College in 2007 and received her BS in Liberal Studies/Art Minor in 1991.
