Jeannette Cohan

Jeannette began practicing yoga at the age of 39 to reduce stress and relieve sciatica, and as she continued to practice she found that her practice enhanced her life in so many other ways too.  Practicing now for more than ten years and teaching for seven years, yoga is an integral part of her everyday life.

Jeannette has studied with Geri Portnoy, Betsey Downing and Noah Maze.  Jeannette is a native San Diego who also enjoys travel, scuba diving and quilting in her spare time.  She has a degree from SDSU in nutrition.

Jeannette’s classes use alignment, movement, and focus on the breath as the tools to freedom from the stresses of life.  Jeannette shares her love of yoga and her continuing exploration of the breath with her students.

Thursday 4:30-5:45 PM – Hatha 1-2
Friday 4:30-5:45 PM – Hatha 1-2

A class for continuing students and beginners who want to challenge themselves. Includes detailed alignment and focus on breath.

Somewhere in the middle of the day our bodies and our minds often seem to travel in two separate directions. Reconnect your body and mind every Thursday and Friday afternoon at Yoga Del Mar.  This fun alignment-based class combines the movement of sun salutations, which fuel your prana, with the energy of arm balances, backbends and inversions to bring your body and mind back into union. Smile, re-balance and re-energize yourself!

“I was struck by how accepting and even inviting yoga instructors are, from the first class I felt I was part of the group. “

“Yoga has provided a foundation for me to approach life in a positive, balanced, healthy way. It’s my rock!“
