Yoga Rehab with Dr Somer Nicole
Spine, Pelvis, & True Core Health
Level 1

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Postural Re-education
  • Pelvic Floor Restoration
  • Sexual Enhancement
  • Respiratory Improvement
  • Waistline Reduction
  • Core Dysfunction, including Back, Hip & Shoulder Pain & Hernias
  • Pelvic floor disorders, such as incontinence & prolapse

This experiential workshop is an opportunity to learn and practice all ten level 1 hypopressive (low pressure) exercises in a progressive sequence, with review of the four exercises taught in the intro workshop. Once learned, this sequence will take you about 20 minutes a day to practice, which is the most effective way to progress your own rehab for the deep core muscles and unwind chronic injury patterns. Dr. Somer’s intention is to teach you how to be your own medicine!

Hypopressive Breathing, unlike traditional core training, reduces intra-abdominal pressure, lifts the organs up and off the pelvic floor allowing it to function normally. It was originally created by Marcel Caufriez, to help post-natal women recover from pelvic floor dysfunction and has similarities to the ancient yogic breathing exercise called uddiyana bandha. The ten low pressure fitness exercises taught in this workshop, created by Tamara Rial and Piti Pinsach from Spain, were created for restoration of pelvic health beyond the clinical setting.
